2 Samuel 20:1

New Messianic Version Bible

And there happened to be there a man of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing], whose name [was] Sheva [Seven], the son of Bikhri [youthful], from the tribe of Binyamin [A Son of the Right Hand]: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David [beloved], neither have we inheritance in the son of Yishai [I possess]: every man to his tents, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God].

So when all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] saw that the king listened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David [beloved]? neither [have we] inheritance in the son of Yishai [I possess]: to your tents, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]: now see to youri own house, David [beloved]. So Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] departed unto their tents.

And when all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] [saw] that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David [beloved]? and [we have] none inheritance in the son of Yishai [I possess]: every man to your tents, O Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]: [and] now, David [beloved], see to youi own house. So all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] went to their tents.

[Certain] men, the children of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing], are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which you2f have not known;

But those my enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring here, and slay [them] before me.

But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this [man] to reign over us.

[As] coals [are] to burning coals, and wood to fire; so [is] a contentious (loving to quarrel and angrily debate) man to kindle strife.

Go not forth hastily to strive, lest [youi know not] what to do in the end thereof, when youi neighbour has put youi to shame.

Many [are] the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate] delivers him out of them all.

Arise, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate], disappoint him, cast him down: deliver my soul from the wicked, [which is] youri sword:

And king Rechav’am [a people has enlarged] took counsel with the old men that had stood before Shlomo (Solomon) [peace] his father while he yet lived, saying, What counsel give you2f [me] to return answer to this people?

But [the sons] of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing] [shall be] all of them as thorns thrust away, because they cannot be taken with hands:

But Avshalom [my father is peace] sent spies throughout all the tribes of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], saying, As soon as you2f hear the sound of the trumpet, then you2f shall say, Avshalom [my father is peace] reigns in Hevron [Seat of Association].

Then answered all the wicked men and [men] of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing], of those that went with David [beloved], and said, Because they went not with us, we will not give them [ought] of the spoil (plunder; prey; booty) that we have recovered, save to every man his wife and his children, that they may lead [them] away, and depart.

Now the sons of ‘Eli [ascension] [were] sons of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing]; they knew not the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).

[Now] as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing], beset the house round about, [and] beat at the door, and spoke to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into youi house, that we may know him.

And it came to pass, when he was come, that he blew a trumpet in the mountain of Efrayim [Doubly Fruitful], and the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] went down with him from the mount, and he before them.

Kefa [pebble] says unto him, youi shall never wash my feet. Yeshua [God is Salvation] answered him, If I wash youi not, youi have no part with me.

And the sons of Binyamin (This Son Is Strength) [were] Belah (destruction), and Bekher (the firstborn; a young camel), and Ashbel (a man in God: a man of Ba’al [lord (a false god)]: fire of Bel: I will make a path), Gera [A Grain] (a grain), and Na’aman (pleasantness), Ehi (my brother), and Rosh (head; chief), Mupim (serpent; out of the mouth), and Hupim (protected; a chamber covered; the sea-shore), and Ard (I shall subdue).

Sha’ul [desired] chose him three thousand [men] of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]; [whereof] two thousand were with Sha’ul [desired] in Mikhmas [hidden] and in mount Beit-El [House of God], and a thousand were with Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] in Giv’ah [Hill] of Binyamin [Son of the Right Hand/Strength]: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

And thus said Shime’i [Fame] when he cursed, Come out, come out, youi bloody man, and youi man of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing]:

And they took Avshalom [my father is peace], and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] fled everyone to his tent.

So every man of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] went up from after David [beloved], [and] followed Sheva [Seven] the son of Bikhri [youthful]: but the men of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] clave unto their king, from Yarden [Descender] even to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].

Then the woman went unto all the people in her wisdom. And they cut off the head of Sheva [Seven] the son of Bikhri [youthful], and cast [it] out to Yo’av [Yehovah is father]. And he blew a trumpet, and they retired from the city, every man to his tent. And Yo’av [Yehovah is father] returned to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace] unto the king.

And set two men, sons of Belial [Worthless, Good for Nothing], before him, to bear witness against him, saying, youi did blaspheme God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] and the king. And [then] carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.

And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and she happened to light on a part of the field [belonging] unto Bo’az [a high rate of movement], who [was] of the family of Eli-Melekh [my God is king].

And David [beloved] said to Avishai [my father is a gift], and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels (inward parts; affections), seeks my life: how much more now [may this] Benyamini [son of the right hand] [do it]? let him alone, and let him curse; for the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has bidden him.

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
