And they took Avshalom [my father is peace], and cast him into a great pit in the wood, and laid a very great heap of stones upon him: and all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] fled everyone to his tent.

And the king of ‘Ai [Heap of Ruins] he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Y’hoshua [Yehovah is Salvation] commanded that they should take his carcass down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, [that remains] unto this day.

Then the king arose, and sat in the gate. And they told unto all the people, saying, Behold, the king does sit in the gate. And all the people came before the king: for Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] had fled every man to his tent.

And it came to pass at the time of the going down of the sun, [that] Y’hoshua [Yehovah is Salvation] commanded, and they took them down off the trees, and cast them into the cave wherein they had been hid, and laid great stones in the cave’s mouth, [which remain] until this very day.

And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son [is] stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; [he is] a glutton, and a drunkard.

And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shall youi put evil away from among you; and all Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] shall hear, and fear.

And the P’lishtim [Immigrants] fought, and Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] was smitten, and they fled every man into his tent: and there was a very great slaughter; for there fell of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] thirty thousand footmen.

So Yoram [Yehovah is exalted] went over to Tza’ir [small], and all the chariots with him: and he rose by night, and struck the Edomi [red] which compassed him about, and the captains of the chariots: and the people fled into their tents.

And Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised] was put to the worse before Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]; and they fled every man to their tents.

And Yo’av [Yehovah is father] came into the house to the king, and said, youi have shamed this day the faces of all youi servants, which this day have saved youri life, and the lives of youri sons and of youri daughters, and the lives of youri wives, and the lives of youri concubines;

And all the people were at strife throughout all the tribes of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], saying, The king saved us out of the hand of our enemies, and he delivered us out of the hand of the P’lishtim [Immigrants]; and now he is fled out of the land for Avshalom [my father is peace].
