And when king David [beloved] came to Bachurim [young men’s village], behold, there came out a man of the family of the house of Sha’ul [desired], whose name [was] Shime’i [Fame], the son of Gera [A Grain]: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

Curse not the king, no not in youi thought; and curse not the rich in youi bedchamber: for a bird of the air shall carry the voice, and that which has wings shall tell the matter.

As the bird by wandering, as the swallow (to approve, commend, accept) by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come.

Let them curse, but bless youi: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let youri servant rejoice.

For they persecute [him] whom youi have smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom youi have wounded.

And the king, and all the people that [were] with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

Then said the king to Tziva [statue], Behold, youi [are] all that [pertained] unto M’fivoshet [exterminating the idol]. And Tziva [statue] said, I humbly beseech (to call upon; appeal; beg) youi [that] I may find grace in youi sight, my lord, O king.

And he cast stones at David [beloved], and at all the servants of king David [beloved]: and all the people and all the mighty men [were] on his right hand and on his left.

Mine enemies reproach (disgrace; shame) me all the day; [and] they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
