New Messianic Version Bible

For youi servant vowed a vow while I abode at G’shur [proud beholder] in Aram (Syria) [exalted], saying, If the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) shall bring me again indeed to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], then I will serve the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).

And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) Tz’va’ot [of the Heavenly Armies], if youi will indeed look on the affliction of youi female servant, and remember me, and not forget youi female servant, but will give unto youi female servant a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

Because you2f have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves:

When youi vow a vow unto God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered], defer not to pay it; for [he has] no pleasure in fools: pay that which youi have vowed.

Your2s vows [are] upon me, O God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered]: I will render praises unto youi.

And Avshalom [my father is peace] answered Yo’av [Yehovah is father], Behold, I sent unto youi, saying, Come here, that I may send youi to the king, to say, For what reason am I come from G’shur [proud beholder]? [it had been] good for me [to have been] there still: now therefore let me see the king’s face; and if there be [any] iniquity in me, let him kill me.

So Yo’av [Yehovah is father] arose and went to G’shur [proud beholder], and brought Avshalom [my father is peace] to Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace].

And Sh’mu’el [His name is El] said, How can I go? if Sha’ul [desired] hear [it], he will kill me. And the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said, Take an heifer with youi, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).

And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), choose you this day whom you2f will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Emori [Highlanders], in whose land you2f dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).

And his second, Kil’av [like his father], of Avigayil [my father is joy] the wife of Naval [fool] the Carmeli [garden-land]; and the third, Avshalom [my father is peace] the son of Ma’akhah [oppression] [oppression] the daughter of Talmai [Plowman] king of G’shur [proud beholder];

And the king said unto him, Go in peace. So he arose, and went to Hevron [Seat of Association].
