And all his servants passed on beside him; and all the K’reti [executioners], and all the P’leti [couriers], and all the Gittim [belonging to the winepress], six hundred men which came after him from Gat [Winepress], passed on before the king.

And there went out after him Yo’av [Yehovah is father]’s men, and the K’reti [executioners], and the P’leti [couriers], and all the mighty men: and they went out of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], to pursue after Sheva [Seven] the son of Bikhri [youthful].

We made an invasion [upon] the south of the K’reti [executioners], and upon [the coast] which [belongs] to Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], and upon the south of Kalev [Dog]; and we burned Ziklag [Winding] with fire.

And David [beloved] sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Yo’av [Yehovah is father], and a third part under the hand of Avishai [my father is a gift] the son of Tz’ruyah [balsam], Yo’av [Yehovah is father]’s brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai [with me] the Gitti [belonging to Gat (winepress)]. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.

So David [beloved] would not remove the ark of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) unto him into the city of David [beloved]: but David [beloved] carried it aside into the house of ‘Oved-Edom [servant of Edom] the Gitti [belonging to Gat (winepress)].

And David [beloved] dwelt with Akhish [meaning disputed; I will blacken (or terrify) or only a man] at Gat [Winepress], he and his men, every man with his household, [even] David [beloved] with his two wives, Achino’am [my brother is delight] the Yizre’elit [God Sows], and Avigayil [my father is joy] the Carmelit [garden-land], Naval [fool]’s wife.

Then David [beloved] and his men, [which were] about six hundred, arose and departed out of Ke’ilah [Fortress], and went to wherever they could go. And it was told Sha’ul [desired] that David [beloved] was escaped from Ke’ilah [Fortress]; and he forbare to go forth.

And David [beloved] said unto his men, Gird you2f on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David [beloved] also girded on his sword: and there went up after David [beloved] about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.

And it came to pass, when David [beloved] and his men were come to Ziklag [Winding] on the third day, that the ‘Amalekim [Dwellers in a Valley] had invaded the south, and Ziklag [Winding], and smitten Ziklag [Winding], and burned it with fire;

So David [beloved] went, he and the six hundred men that [were] with him, and came to the brook B’sor [cheerful], where those that were left behind detained (held).

And the king went forth, and all the people after him, and tarried in a place that was far off.

And it was told Sha’ul [desired] that David [beloved] was fled to Gat [Winepress]: and he sought no more again for him.
