And the king said unto her, What ails youi? And she answered, I [am] indeed a widow woman, and my husband is dead.

And, behold, the whole family is risen against youri female servant, and they said, Deliver him that struck his brother, that we may kill him, for the life of his brother whom he killed; and we will destroy the heir also: and so they shall quench my coal which is left, and shall not leave to my husband [neither] name nor remainder upon the earth.

Now Avshalom [my father is peace] had commanded his servants, saying, Mark you2f now when Amnon [faithful]’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Strike Amnon [faithful]; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant.

And the servants of Avshalom [my father is peace] did unto Amnon [faithful] as Avshalom [my father is peace] had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and every man got him up upon his mule, and fled.
