And it came to pass in an evening, that David [beloved] arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king’s house: and from the roof he saw a woman washing herself; and the woman [was] very beautiful to look upon.

And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

“That which I say to you in the darkness, say it in the light; that which you hear by the ear, tell it in the council place”.

And the houses of Yerushalayim [Foundation of Peace], and the houses of the kings of Y’hudah [Let Him (God) Be Praised], shall be defiled as the place of Tofet [place of fire], because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense unto all the army of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings unto other gods.

Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep; and an idle soul shall suffer hunger.

For when they came into the house, he lay on his bed in his bedchamber, and they struck him, and killed him, and beheaded him, and took his head, and got them away through the plain all night.

And when Sh’khem [back or shoulder, portion] the son of Hamor [male-donkey (ass)] (a donkey) the Hivi (villagers), prince of the country, saw her, he took her, and lay with her, and defiled her.

That the sons of God-Elōhīm [The Living Word - The Many Powered] saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

And the sons of Rimmon [Pomegranate] the Be’erot [wells], Rekhav [rider] and Ba’anah [in affliction], went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of Ish-Boshet [man of shame], who lay on a bed at noon.

And when they were come down from the high place into the city, [Sh’mu’el [His name is El]] communed with Sha’ul [desired] upon the top of the house.

And he left all that he had in Yosef’s (Increaser; May God the Powerful One add [Yah]) hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Yosef was [a] goodly [person], and well favoured.

“He who is upon the house, let him not come down to take anything out of his house”.

And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Mitzrayim [Egypt] (Double Distress or Double Stronghold, Black Land), that he said unto Sarai (My Princess) his wife, Behold now, I know that youi are a fair woman to look upon:

Neither shall youi desire youi neighbour’s wife, neither shall youi covet youi neighbour’s house, his field, or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, or his ass, or any [thing] that [is] youi neighbour’s.

And it came to pass after this, that Avshalom [my father is peace] the son of David [beloved] had a fair sister, whose name [was] Tamar [palm-tree]; and Amnon [faithful] the son of David [beloved] loved her.

And unto Avshalom [my father is peace] there were born three sons, and one daughter, whose name [was] Tamar [palm-tree]: she was a woman of a fair Countenance (Face, appearance; show favor).

Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
