2 Kings 7:3New Messianic Version BibleAnd there were four leprous men at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die? See the chapter |
Why will you2f die, youi and youri people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) has spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Bavel (to jumble, or a confused medley of sounds; confusion; gate of the deity) (Babylon) [confusion]?
Why do we sit still? assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be silent there: for the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) our God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] has put us to silence, and given us water of gall (something bitter or poisonous) to (to do entirely, do wholly) drink, because we have sinned against the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate).
Now Na’aman [Pleasantness], captain of the host of the king of Aram (Syria) [exalted], was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) had given deliverance unto Aram (Syria) [exalted]: he was also a mighty man in valour, [but he was] a leper.
