And David [beloved] arose, and he passed over with the six hundred men that [were] with him unto Akhish [meaning disputed; I will blacken (or terrify) or only a man], the son of Ma’okh [oppression], king of Gat [Winepress].

And David [beloved] said unto his men, Gird you2f on every man his sword. And they girded on every man his sword; and David [beloved] also girded on his sword: and there went up after David [beloved] about four hundred men; and two hundred abode by the stuff.

And David [beloved] arose, and fled that day for fear of Sha’ul [desired], and went to Akhish [meaning disputed; I will blacken (or terrify) or only a man] the king of Gat [Winepress].

And David [beloved] enquired at the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate), saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for youi shall surely overtake [them], and without fail recover [all].

So David [beloved] went, he and the six hundred men that [were] with him, and came to the brook B’sor [cheerful], where those that were left behind detained (held).

Now these [are] they that came to David [beloved] to Ziklag [Winding], while he yet kept himself close because of Sha’ul [desired] the son of Kish [bent]: and they [were] among the mighty men, helpers of the war.

And the servants of Akhish [meaning disputed; I will blacken (or terrify) or only a man] said unto him, [Is] not this David [beloved] the king of the land? did they not sing one to another of him in dances, saying, Sha’ul [desired] has slain his thousands, and David [beloved] his ten thousands?
