And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Sha’ul [desired], that the soul of Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] was knit with the soul of David [beloved], and Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] loved him as his own soul.

A man [that has] friends must show himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticks closer than a brother.

And Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] caused David [beloved] to swear again, because he loved him: for he loved him as he loved his own soul.

I am distressed for youi, my brother Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given]: very pleasant have youi been unto me: youi love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women.

Then Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] and David [beloved] made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul.

That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God-The Father, and of the Father, and of Moshiach [Messiah];

Now therefore when I come to youri servant my father, and the boy [be] not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the boy’s life;

If youi brother, the son of youi mother, or youi son, or youi daughter, or the wife of youi bosom, or youi friend, which [is] as youi own soul, entice youi secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which youi have not known, youi, nor youi fathers;

And David [beloved] went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If you2f be come peaceably unto me to help me, my heart shall be knit unto you: but if [you2f be come] to betray me to my enemies, seeing [there is] no wrong in my hands, the God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] of our fathers look [thereon], and rebuke (reprimand; strongly warn; restrain) [it].

But Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] Sha’ul’s [desired] son delighted much in David [beloved]: and Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] told David [beloved], saying, Sha’ul [desired] my father seeks to kill youi: now therefore, I pray youi, take heed to yourself until the morning, and abide in a secret [place], and hide yourself:

So all the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] were gathered against the city, knit together as one man.

Teach me youri way, O Lord-Yehōvah [Messiah Pre-Incarnate]; I will walk in youri truth: unite my heart to fear youri name.

And the people said unto Sha’ul [desired], Shall Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] die, who has wrought this great salvation in Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God]? God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] forbid: [as] the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) lives, there shall not one hair of his head fall to (to do entirely, do wholly) the ground; for he has wrought with God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] this day. So the people rescued Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given], that he died not.

And Sha’ul [desired] spoke to Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] his son, and to all his servants, that they should kill David [beloved].

Therefore youi shall deal kindly with youri servant; for youi have brought youri servant into a covenant of the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) with youi: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me yourself; for why should youi bring me to youri father?

That all of you have conspired against me, and [there is] none that shows me that my son has made a league with the son of Yishai [I possess], and [there is] none of you that is sorry for me, or shows unto me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as at this day?

And they two made a covenant before the Lord-Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate): and David [beloved] abode in the wood, and Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] went to his house.
