And the P’lishtim [Immigrants] stood on a mountain on the one side, and Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] stood on a mountain on the other side: and [there was] a valley between them.
And Sha’ul [desired] and the men of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah [an oak], and set the battle in array (to put on; to clothe) against the P’lishtim [Immigrants].
And there went out a champion out of the camp of the P’lishtim [Immigrants], named Golyat [splendor], of Gat [Winepress], whose height [was] six cubits and a span.
And when he defied Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God], Y’honatan [Yehovah has Given] the son of Shim’ah [fame] the brother of David [beloved] killed him.
