Look down and have mercy on me. Give your strength to your servant; save me, the son of your servant.

O Lord, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains.

Come and show me your mercy, as you do for all who love your name.

I am yours; rescue me! For I have worked hard at obeying your commandments.

As soon as I pray, you answer me; you encourage me by giving me strength.

Turn to me and have mercy, for I am alone and in deep distress.

But my enemies say nothing but evil about me. “How soon will he die and be forgotten?” they ask.

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
