Won’t you revive us again, so your people can rejoice in you?

Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me.

O Israel, rejoice in your Maker. O people of Jerusalem, exult in your King.

Who will come from Mount Zion to rescue Israel? When God restores his people, Jacob will shout with joy, and Israel will rejoice.

You have allowed me to suffer much hardship, but you will restore me to life again and lift me up from the depths of the earth.

O God, why have you rejected us so long? Why is your anger so intense against the sheep of your own pasture?

Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?

Then we will never abandon you again. Revive us so we can call on your name once more.

Satisfy us each morning with your unfailing love, so we may sing for joy to the end of our lives.

The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts.

Surely you won’t be angry forever! Surely you can forget about it!’ So you talk, but you keep on doing all the evil you can.”

the sounds of joy and laughter. The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord. They will sing, ‘Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for the Lord is good. His faithful love endures forever!’ For I will restore the prosperity of this land to what it was in the past, says the Lord.

In just a short time he will restore us, so that we may live in his presence.

I have heard all about you, Lord. I am filled with awe by your amazing works. In this time of our deep need, help us again as you did in years gone by. And in your anger, remember your mercy.
