I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.

I cry out to God; yes, I shout. Oh, that God would listen to me!

The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

Watch your tongue and keep your mouth shut, and you will stay out of trouble.

So those who are smart keep their mouths shut, for it is an evil time.

Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.

So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it.

If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless.
