Psalm 27:9

New Living Translation

Do not turn your back on me. Do not reject your servant in anger. You have always been my helper. Don’t leave me now; don’t abandon me, O God of my salvation!

“And Solomon, my son, learn to know the God of your ancestors intimately. Worship and serve him with your whole heart and a willing mind. For the Lord sees every heart and knows every plan and thought. If you seek him, you will find him. But if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

Don’t turn away from me in my time of distress. Bend down to listen, and answer me quickly when I call to you.

For my days disappear like smoke, and my bones burn like red-hot coals.

Don’t leave me to the mercy of my enemies, for I have done what is just and right.

O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?

Come quickly, Lord, and answer me, for my depression deepens. Don’t turn away from me, or I will die.

They will receive the Lord’s blessing and have a right relationship with God their savior.

Why do you look the other way? Why do you ignore our suffering and oppression?

Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

Don’t hide from your servant; answer me quickly, for I am in deep trouble!

Come and redeem me; free me from my enemies.

O Lord, God of my salvation, I cry out to you by day. I come to you at night.

This is what the Lord says: “Was your mother sent away because I divorced her? Did I sell you as slaves to my creditors? No, you were sold because of your sins. And your mother, too, was taken because of your sins.

It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

And I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good for them. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me, and they will never leave me.

Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”

Samuel then took a large stone and placed it between the towns of Mizpah and Jeshanah. He named it Ebenezer (which means “the stone of help”), for he said, “Up to this point the Lord has helped us!”
