Then David praised the Lord in the presence of the whole assembly: “O Lord, the God of our ancestor Israel, may you be praised forever and ever!

For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.

I will keep my promises to the Lord in the presence of all his people.

I will fulfill my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people—

I have not kept the good news of your justice hidden in my heart; I have talked about your faithfulness and saving power. I have told everyone in the great assembly of your unfailing love and faithfulness.

But may all who search for you be filled with joy and gladness in you. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, “The Lord is great!”

Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High.

The humble will see their God at work and be glad. Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.

In Jerusalem, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies will spread a wonderful feast for all the people of the world. It will be a delicious banquet with clear, well-aged wine and choice meat.

Therefore, this is what the Sovereign Lord says: “My servants will eat, but you will starve. My servants will drink, but you will be thirsty. My servants will rejoice, but you will be sad and ashamed.

Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.

But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
