Those who lend money without charging interest, and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent. Such people will stand firm forever.

There is joy for those who deal justly with others and always do what is right.

Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.

I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

My anger will blaze against you, and I will kill you with the sword. Then your wives will be widows and your children fatherless.

“If you lend money to any of my people who are in need, do not charge interest as a money lender would.

The godly will never be disturbed, but the wicked will be removed from the land.

Wickedness never brings stability, but the godly have deep roots.

Greed brings grief to the whole family, but those who hate bribes will live.

Those who are honest and fair, who refuse to profit by fraud, who stay far away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong—

He helps the poor, does not lend money at interest, and obeys all my regulations and decrees. Such a person will not die because of his father’s sins; he will surely live.

And if wicked people turn from their wickedness, obey the law, and do what is just and right, they will save their lives.

He grants loans without interest, stays away from injustice, is honest and fair when judging others,

There are hired murderers, loan racketeers, and extortioners everywhere. They never even think of me and my commands, says the Sovereign Lord.

Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice.

and asked, “How much will you pay me to betray Jesus to you?” And they gave him thirty pieces of silver.

Now that you know these things, God will bless you for doing them.

You must never twist justice or show partiality. Never accept a bribe, for bribes blind the eyes of the wise and corrupt the decisions of the godly.

“When you make a vow to the Lord your God, be prompt in fulfilling whatever you promised him. For the Lord your God demands that you promptly fulfill all your vows, or you will be guilty of sin.

Now testify against me in the presence of the Lord and before his anointed one. Whose ox or donkey have I stolen? Have I ever cheated any of you? Have I ever oppressed you? Have I ever taken a bribe and perverted justice? Tell me and I will make right whatever I have done wrong.”
