O Lord, rescue me from evil people. Protect me from those who are violent,

Don’t let liars prosper here in our land. Cause great disasters to fall on the violent.

O Lord, keep me out of the hands of the wicked. Protect me from those who are violent, for they are plotting against me.

Arise, O Lord! Stand against them, and bring them to their knees! Rescue me from the wicked with your sword!

and rescues me from my enemies. You hold me safe beyond the reach of my enemies; you save me from violent opponents.

Declare me innocent, O God! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars.

My God, rescue me from the power of the wicked, from the clutches of cruel oppressors.
