And Azariah the high priest, from the family of Zadok, replied, “Since the people began bringing their gifts to the Lord’s Temple, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare. The Lord has blessed his people, and all this is left over.”

In all that he did in the service of the Temple of God and in his efforts to follow God’s laws and commands, Hezekiah sought his God wholeheartedly. As a result, he was very successful.

May our barns be filled with crops of every kind. May the flocks in our fields multiply by the thousands, even tens of thousands,

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you!

Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.

The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.

I am giving you a promise now while the seed is still in the barn. You have not yet harvested your grain, and your grapevines, fig trees, pomegranates, and olive trees have not yet produced their crops. But from this day onward I will bless you.”

And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

Give it to the Levites, who will receive no allotment of land among you, as well as to the foreigners living among you, the orphans, and the widows in your towns, so they can eat and be satisfied. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all your work.

“The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.
