Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?

Are you a slave? Don’t let that worry you—but if you get a chance to be free, take it.

I want you to be free from the concerns of this life. An unmarried man can spend his time doing the Lord’s work and thinking how to please him.

And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety.

And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.

Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.

I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

Now a true widow, a woman who is truly alone in this world, has placed her hope in God. She prays night and day, asking God for his help.

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
