Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them and healed their sick.

Then Jesus said to the woman, “I was sent only to help God’s lost sheep—the people of Israel.”

Then Jesus called his disciples and told them, “I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat. I don’t want to send them away hungry, or they will faint along the way.”

Jesus saw the huge crowd as he stepped from the boat, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

“I feel sorry for these people. They have been here with me for three days, and they have nothing left to eat.

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin.

And he is able to deal gently with ignorant and wayward people because he himself is subject to the same weaknesses.
