Then Jesus said to him, “Don’t tell anyone about this. Instead, go to the priest and let him examine you. Take along the offering required in the law of Moses for those who have been healed of leprosy. This will be a public testimony that you have been cleansed.”

Because he is righteous, the Lord has exalted his glorious law.

“When these things begin to happen, watch out! You will be handed over to the local councils and beaten in the synagogues. You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell them about me.

But Jesus sternly commanded the spirits not to reveal who he was.

Jesus gave them strict orders not to tell anyone what had happened, and then he told them to give her something to eat.

But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

Those who speak for themselves want glory only for themselves, but a person who seeks to honor the one who sent him speaks truth, not lies.

And though I have no wish to glorify myself, God is going to glorify me. He is the true judge.
