I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not even the smallest detail of God’s law will disappear until its purpose is achieved.

They will perish, but you remain forever; they will wear out like old clothing. You will change them like a garment and discard them.

They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.

I have known from my earliest days that your laws will last forever.

But I carry out the predictions of my prophets! By them I say to Jerusalem, ‘People will live here again,’ and to the towns of Judah, ‘You will be rebuilt; I will restore all your ruins!’

Look up to the skies above, and gaze down on the earth below. For the skies will disappear like smoke, and the earth will wear out like a piece of clothing. The people of the earth will die like flies, but my salvation lasts forever. My righteous rule will never end!

I tell you the truth, the wicked cities of Sodom and Gomorrah will be better off than such a town on the judgment day.

When you are persecuted in one town, flee to the next. I tell you the truth, the Son of Man will return before you have reached all the towns of Israel.

And if you give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of my followers, you will surely be rewarded.”

“I tell you the truth, of all who have ever lived, none is greater than John the Baptist. Yet even the least person in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he is!

I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.

And I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

“I tell you the truth, whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.

Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.

“Which of the two obeyed his father?” They replied, “The first.” Then Jesus explained his meaning: “I tell you the truth, corrupt tax collectors and prostitutes will get into the Kingdom of God before you do.

I tell you the truth, this judgment will fall on this very generation.

But he responded, “Do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth, they will be completely demolished. Not one stone will be left on top of another!”

I tell you the truth, the master will put that servant in charge of all he owns.

“But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’

“And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

And if that happens, you surely won’t be free again until you have paid the last penny.

When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get.

When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to those who were following him, he said, “I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!

I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,

I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.

Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has given more than all the others who are making contributions.

I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene before all these things take place.

As they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me here will betray me.”

I tell you the truth, I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new in the Kingdom of God.”

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, Peter—this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will deny three times that you even know me.”

I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.”

“I tell you the truth, all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven,

But if any place refuses to welcome you or listen to you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

When he heard this, he sighed deeply in his spirit and said, “Why do these people keep demanding a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, I will not give this generation any such sign.”

Jesus went on to say, “I tell you the truth, some standing here right now will not die before they see the Kingdom of God arrive in great power!”

If anyone gives you even a cup of water because you belong to the Messiah, I tell you the truth, that person will surely be rewarded.

from the murder of Abel to the murder of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, it will certainly be charged against this generation.

The servants who are ready and waiting for his return will be rewarded. I tell you the truth, he himself will seat them, put on an apron, and serve them as they sit and eat!

And now, look, your house is abandoned. And you will never see me again until you say, ‘Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

But that doesn’t mean that the law has lost its force. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest point of God’s law to be overturned.

I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”

“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God,

And Jesus replied, “I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

But I tell you the truth, no prophet is accepted in his own hometown.

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth.”

“I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber!

so he explained it to them: “I tell you the truth, I am the gate for the sheep.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you understood the miraculous signs.

Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, Moses didn’t give you bread from heaven. My Father did. And now he offers you the true bread from heaven.

“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes has eternal life.

So Jesus said again, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you.

Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave of sin.

I tell you the truth, anyone who obeys my teaching will never die!”

Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I Am!”

But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.

And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide.
