Matthew 27:60

New Living Translation

He placed it in his own new tomb, which had been carved out of the rock. Then he rolled a great stone across the entrance and left.

Tell him that my father made me swear an oath. He said to me, ‘Listen, I am about to die. Take my body back to the land of Canaan, and bury me in the tomb I prepared for myself.’ So please allow me to go and bury my father. After his burial, I will return without delay.”

The place of crucifixion was near a garden, where there was a new tomb, never used before.

Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance.
