Lazy people sleep soundly, but idleness leaves them hungry.

Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.

He agreed to pay the normal daily wage and sent them out to work.

So he hired them, telling them he would pay them whatever was right at the end of the day.

It was nine o’clock in the morning when they crucified him.

Her masters’ hopes of wealth were now shattered, so they grabbed Paul and Silas and dragged them before the authorities at the marketplace.

These people are not drunk, as some of you are assuming. Nine o’clock in the morning is much too early for that.

And if they are on the list, they will learn to be lazy and will spend their time gossiping from house to house, meddling in other people’s business and talking about things they shouldn’t.

Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance.
