Evil people get rich for the moment, but the reward of the godly will last.

Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.

Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.

the Lord will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely.

He replied, “You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven, but others are not.

From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.”

To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them.”

Night and day, while he’s asleep or awake, the seed sprouts and grows, but he does not understand how it happens.

Then Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? How can I illustrate it?

“This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God’s word.

“A farmer went out to plant his seed. As he scattered it across his field, some seed fell on a footpath, where it was stepped on, and the birds ate it.

I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat is planted in the soil and dies, it remains alone. But its death will produce many new kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives.

And those who are peacemakers will plant seeds of peace and reap a harvest of righteousness.
