Mark 16:7

New Living Translation

Now go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”

But after I have been raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”

Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid! Go tell my brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see me there.”

And now, go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there. Remember what I have told you.”

But after I am raised from the dead, I will go ahead of you to Galilee and meet you there.”

Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away.

The women fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing to anyone because they were too frightened. ---------- [The most ancient manuscripts of Mark conclude with verse 16:8. Later, Jesus appeared again to the disciples beside the Sea of Galilee. This is how it happened.

And over a period of many days he appeared to those who had gone with him from Galilee to Jerusalem. They are now his witnesses to the people of Israel.

He was seen by Peter and then by the Twelve.

Now, however, it is time to forgive and comfort him. Otherwise he may be overcome by discouragement.
