So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, “You have said it.”
Now Jesus was standing before Pilate, the Roman governor. “Are you the king of the Jews?” the governor asked him. Jesus replied, “You have said it.”
Then they saluted him and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!”
Pilate asked Jesus, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, “You have said it.”
Let this Messiah, this King of Israel, come down from the cross so we can see it and believe him!” Even the men who were crucified with Jesus ridiculed him.
They all shouted, “So, are you claiming to be the Son of God?” And he replied, “You say that I am.”
A sign was fastened above him with these words: “This is the King of the Jews.”
Then Nathanael exclaimed, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God—the King of Israel!”
So Pilate, the governor, went out to them and asked, “What is your charge against this man?”
“Hail! King of the Jews!” they mocked, as they slapped him across the face.
And I charge you before God, who gives life to all, and before Christ Jesus, who gave a good testimony before Pontius Pilate,
