I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your laws.

When you arise, O Lord, you will laugh at their silly ideas as a person laughs at dreams in the morning.

People rushed out to see what had happened. A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been freed from the demons. He was sitting at Jesus’ feet, fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid.

Peter finally came to his senses. “It’s really true!” he said. “The Lord has sent his angel and saved me from Herod and from what the Jewish leaders had planned to do to me!”

Peter’s words pierced their hearts, and they said to him and to the other apostles, “Brothers, what should we do?”

for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.”
