“I cry out, ‘Help!’ but no one answers me. I protest, but there is no justice.

O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies, how long will you be angry with our prayers?
“You have engulfed us with your anger, chased us down, and slaughtered us without mercy.
You have hidden yourself in a cloud so our prayers cannot reach you.
How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! “Violence is everywhere!” I cry, but you do not come to save.
At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?”
For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
