You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use. You allow them to produce food from the earth—

Then the Lord said, “You feel sorry about the plant, though you did nothing to put it there. It came quickly and died quickly.

Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’

I will give the land to your little ones—your innocent children. You were afraid they would be captured, but they will be the ones who occupy it.
