But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!

You must give them my messages whether they listen or not. But they won’t listen, for they are completely rebellious!

Its people don’t realize that I am watching them. Their sinful deeds are all around them, and I see them all.

This time Jonah obeyed the Lord’s command and went to Nineveh, a city so large that it took three days to see it all.

There is no healing for your wound; your injury is fatal. All who hear of your destruction will clap their hands for joy. Where can anyone be found who has not suffered from your continual cruelty?

You will stand trial before governors and kings because you are my followers. But this will be your opportunity to tell the rulers and other unbelievers about me.

“The people of Nineveh will stand up against this generation on judgment day and condemn it, for they repented of their sins at the preaching of Jonah. Now someone greater than Jonah is here—but you refuse to repent.

For listen! Hear the cries of the field workers whom you have cheated of their pay. The cries of those who harvest your fields have reached the ears of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

For her sins are piled as high as heaven, and God remembers her evil deeds.
