New Living Translation

Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.

Then he took the seven loaves and the fish, thanked God for them, and broke them into pieces. He gave them to the disciples, who distributed the food to the crowd.

As they sat down to eat, he took the bread and blessed it. Then he broke it and gave it to them.

“Bring some of the fish you’ve just caught,” Jesus said.

Then Jesus served them the bread and the fish.

When they got there, they found breakfast waiting for them—fish cooking over a charcoal fire, and some bread.

Several boats from Tiberias landed near the place where the Lord had blessed the bread and the people had eaten.

“There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?”

Then he took some bread, gave thanks to God before them all, and broke off a piece and ate it.

Those who worship the Lord on a special day do it to honor him. Those who eat any kind of food do so to honor the Lord, since they give thanks to God before eating. And those who refuse to eat certain foods also want to please the Lord and give thanks to God.

So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Hurry and catch him before he goes up there to eat. The guests won’t begin eating until he arrives to bless the food.”
