You must not bow down to them or worship them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God who will not tolerate your affection for any other gods. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children; the entire family is affected—even children in the third and fourth generations of those who reject me.

The Lord takes his place in court and presents his case against his people.

Let us review the situation together, and you can present your case to prove your innocence.

I myself will turn against them and their families and will cut them off from the community. This will happen to all who commit spiritual prostitution by worshiping Molech.

And now, O mountains, listen to the Lord’s complaint! He has a case against his people. He will bring charges against Israel.
