“Naphtali is a doe set free that bears beautiful fawns.

Rachel named him Naphtali, for she said, “I have struggled hard with my sister, and I’m winning!”

The sons of Naphtali were Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer, and Shillem.

The older counselors replied, “If you are good to these people and do your best to please them and give them a favorable answer, they will always be your loyal subjects.”

She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love.

One day she sent for Barak son of Abinoam, who lived in Kedesh in the land of Naphtali. She said to him, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor.

But Zebulun risked his life, as did Naphtali, on the heights of the battlefield.
