So Rachel gave her servant, Bilhah, to Jacob as a wife, and he slept with her.

So Sarai said to Abram, “The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

So she turned to Abraham and demanded, “Get rid of that slave woman and her son. He is not going to share the inheritance with my son, Isaac. I won’t have it!”

Nahor had four other children from his concubine Reumah. Their names were Tebah, Gaham, Tahash, and Maacah.

Abraham married another wife, whose name was Keturah.

But before he died, he gave gifts to the sons of his concubines and sent them off to a land in the east, away from Isaac.

(Laban gave Rachel a servant, Bilhah, to be her maid.)

Bilhah became pregnant and presented him with a son.

He put the servant wives and their children at the front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph last.

While he was living there, Reuben had intercourse with Bilhah, his father’s concubine, and Jacob soon heard about it. These are the names of the twelve sons of Jacob:

These were the sons of Bilhah, the servant given to Rachel by her father, Laban. The number of Jacob’s descendants through Bilhah was seven.

“This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view.
