But he did not recognize Jacob, because Jacob’s hands felt hairy just like Esau’s. So Isaac prepared to bless Jacob.

Then Isaac said, “Now, my son, bring me the wild game. Let me eat it, and then I will give you my blessing.” So Jacob took the food to his father, and Isaac ate it. He also drank the wine that Jacob served him.

Your sins are telling your mouth what to say. Your words are based on clever deception.

Truthful words stand the test of time, but lies are soon exposed.

The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in those who tell the truth.

First, help me never to tell a lie. Second, give me neither poverty nor riches! Give me just enough to satisfy my needs.

But this is what you must do: Tell the truth to each other. Render verdicts in your courts that are just and that lead to peace.

So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body.

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.
