New Living Translation

Even though the people were afraid of the local residents, they rebuilt the altar at its old site. Then they began to sacrifice burnt offerings on the altar to the Lord each morning and evening.

They sacrificed the regular burnt offerings to the Lord each morning and evening on the altar set aside for that purpose, obeying everything written in the Law of the Lord, as he had commanded Israel.

Solomon also made a bronze altar 30 feet long, 30 feet wide, and 15 feet high.

Then the local residents tried to discourage and frighten the people of Judah to keep them from their work.

The king instructed him to return the cups to their place in Jerusalem and to rebuild the Temple of God there on its original site.

The top of the altar is square, measuring 21 feet by 21 feet.
