Acts 8:39

When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away. The eunuch never saw him again but went on his way rejoicing.

The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones.

Then the Spirit took me up and brought me into the inner courtyard, and the glory of the Lord filled the Temple.

He reached out what seemed to be a hand and took me by the hair. Then the Spirit lifted me up into the sky and transported me to Jerusalem in a vision from God. I was taken to the north gate of the inner courtyard of the Temple, where there is a large idol that has made the Lord very jealous.

“The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field.

After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him.

As Jesus came up out of the water, he saw the heavens splitting apart and the Holy Spirit descending on him like a dove.

And the believers were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.

He brought them into his house and set a meal before them, and he and his entire household rejoiced because they all believed in God.

The Holy Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and walk along beside the carriage.”

He ordered the carriage to stop, and they went down into the water, and Philip baptized him.

So there was great joy in that city.

Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

For we who worship by the Spirit of God are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human effort,

Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!

Otherwise you are boasting about your own pretentious plans, and all such boasting is evil.
