Jesus took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village. Then, spitting on the man’s eyes, he laid his hands on him and asked, “Can you see anything now?”

But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.

So the soldiers, their commanding officer, and the Temple guards arrested Jesus and tied him up.

Then they took him to the high council of the city. “Come and tell us about this new teaching,” they said.

So the officer did, explaining, “Paul, the prisoner, called me over and asked me to bring this young man to you because he has something to tell you.”

Paul’s nephew told him, “Some Jews are going to ask you to bring Paul before the high council tomorrow, pretending they want to get some more information.
