And I tell you this, that many Gentiles will come from all over the world—from east and west—and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob at the feast in the Kingdom of Heaven.

And they hurled all sorts of terrible insults at him.

And if a town refuses to welcome you, shake its dust from your feet as you leave to show that you have abandoned those people to their fate.”

So they shook the dust from their feet as a sign of rejection and went to the town of Iconium.

Many times I had them punished in the synagogues to get them to curse Jesus. I was so violently opposed to them that I even chased them down in foreign cities.

I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God—and prove they have changed by the good things they do.

So I want you to know that this salvation from God has also been offered to the Gentiles, and they will accept it.”

After all, is God the God of the Jews only? Isn’t he also the God of the Gentiles? Of course he is.

Never be in a hurry about appointing a church leader. Do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth.

If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.

Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.
