“‘No, Lord,’ I replied. ‘I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure or unclean.’

You may no longer stay here in the Lord’s land. Instead, you will return to Egypt, and in Assyria you will eat food that is ceremonially unclean.

You must distinguish between what is sacred and what is common, between what is ceremonially unclean and what is clean.

By these instructions you will know what is unclean and clean, and which animals may be eaten and which may not be eaten.”

They noticed that some of his disciples failed to follow the Jewish ritual of hand washing before eating.

And I heard a voice say, ‘Get up, Peter; kill and eat them.’

“But the voice from heaven spoke again: ‘Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.’

I know and am convinced on the authority of the Lord Jesus that no food, in and of itself, is wrong to eat. But if someone believes it is wrong, then for that person it is wrong.

For the believing wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the believing husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.
