Elisha told him, “Put your hand on the bow,” and Elisha laid his own hands on the king’s hands.

But his bow remained taut, and his arms were strengthened by the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, by the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel.

Elisha told him, “Get a bow and some arrows.” And the king did as he was told.

Then he commanded, “Open that eastern window,” and he opened it. Then he said, “Shoot!” So he shot an arrow. Elisha proclaimed, “This is the Lord’s arrow, an arrow of victory over Aram, for you will completely conquer the Arameans at Aphek.”

Then he lay down on the child’s body, placing his mouth on the child’s mouth, his eyes on the child’s eyes, and his hands on the child’s hands. And as he stretched out on him, the child’s body began to grow warm again!

Praise the Lord, who is my rock. He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle.
