Solomon son of David took firm control of his kingdom, for the Lord his God was with him and made him very powerful.

About this time, Abimelech came with Phicol, his army commander, to visit Abraham. “God is obviously with you, helping you in everything you do,” Abimelech said.

The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master.

But the Lord was with Joseph in the prison and showed him his faithful love. And the Lord made Joseph a favorite with the prison warden.

Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.

Solomon became king and sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established.

Then, at the king’s command, Benaiah son of Jehoiada took Shimei outside and killed him. So the kingdom was now firmly in Solomon’s grip.

I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have destroyed all your enemies before your eyes. Now I will make your name as famous as anyone who has ever lived on the earth!

“Now, my son, may the Lord be with you and give you success as you follow his directions in building the Temple of the Lord your God.

You have expert goldsmiths and silversmiths and workers of bronze and iron. Now begin the work, and may the Lord be with you!”

So Solomon took the throne of the Lord in place of his father, David, and he succeeded in everything, and all Israel obeyed him.

And the Lord exalted Solomon in the sight of all Israel, and he gave Solomon greater royal splendor than any king in Israel before him.

These accounts include the mighty deeds of his reign and everything that happened to him and to Israel and to all the surrounding kingdoms.

From then on King Hezekiah became highly respected among all the surrounding nations, and many gifts for the Lord arrived at Jerusalem, with valuable presents for King Hezekiah, too.

God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”

Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The Lord told Joshua, “Today I will begin to make you a great leader in the eyes of all the Israelites. They will know that I am with you, just as I was with Moses.
