Again David asked, “Will the leaders of Keilah betray me and my men to Saul?” And the Lord replied, “Yes, they will betray you.”

It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people.

Let me hear of your unfailing love each morning, for I am trusting you. Show me where to walk, for I give myself to you.

You have not handed me over to my enemies but have set me in a safe place.

I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.

What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord, who do their evil deeds in the dark! “The Lord can’t see us,” they say. “He doesn’t know what’s going on!”

Then the Lord told me about the plots my enemies were making against me.

Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.

The men of Judah asked the Philistines, “Why are you attacking us?” The Philistines replied, “We’ve come to capture Samson. We’ve come to pay him back for what he did to us.”

Will the leaders of Keilah betray me to him? And will Saul actually come as I have heard? O Lord, God of Israel, please tell me.” And the Lord said, “He will come.”

Come down whenever you’re ready, O king, and we will catch him and hand him over to you!”

Saul soon learned that David was at Keilah. “Good!” he exclaimed. “We’ve got him now! God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself in a walled town!”
