So Jeroboam’s wife returned to Tirzah, and the child died just as she walked through the door of her home.

King Baasha of Israel invaded Judah and fortified Ramah in order to prevent anyone from entering or leaving King Asa’s territory in Judah.

Omri began to rule over Israel in the thirty-first year of King Asa’s reign in Judah. He reigned twelve years in all, six of them in Tirzah.

When Baasha died, he was buried in Tirzah. Then his son Elah became the next king.
