Your own mouth condemns you, and not I; Yes, your own lips testify against you.

“As for the head of those who surround me, Let the evil of their lips cover them;

Flash forth lightning and scatter them; Shoot out Your arrows and destroy them.

All those who see Me ridicule Me; They shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And am repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me.

The righteous also shall see and fear, And shall laugh at him, saying,

For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips, Let them even be taken in their pride, And for the cursing and lying which they speak.

When my enemies turn back, They shall fall and perish at Your presence.

The wicked is ensnared by the transgression of his lips, But the righteous will come through trouble.

A fool’s mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.

To make their land desolate and a perpetual hissing; Everyone who passes by it will be astonished And shake his head.

For was not Israel a derision to you? Was he found among thieves? For whenever you speak of him, You shake your head in scorn.

It shall come to pass that all who look upon you Will flee from you, and say, ‘Nineveh is laid waste! Who will bemoan her?’ Where shall I seek comforters for you?”

Then all Israel who were around them fled at their cry, for they said, “Lest the earth swallow us up also!”

They said to Him, “He will destroy those wicked men miserably, and lease his vineyard to other vinedressers who will render to him the fruits in their seasons.”

And he said to him, ‘Out of your own mouth I will judge you, you wicked servant. You knew that I was an austere man, collecting what I did not deposit and reaping what I did not sow.

standing at a distance for fear of her torment, saying, ‘Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

And I heard another voice from heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
