And when He had sent them away, He departed to the mountain to pray.

But to You I have cried out, O Lord, And in the morning my prayer comes before You.

About the ninth hour of the day he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God coming in and saying to him, “Cornelius!”

So they answered and said before the king, “That Daniel, who is one of the captives from Judah, does not show due regard for you, O king, or for the decree that you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day.”

Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by.

Even when I cry and shout, He shuts out my prayer.

“If I cry out concerning wrong, I am not heard. If I cry aloud, there is no justice.

For He will deliver the needy when he cries, The poor also, and him who has no helper.

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted.
