God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.

And he went out to meet Asa, and said to him: “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.

Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.’ ”

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.

For He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; From heaven the Lord viewed the earth,

The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.

When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes.

Can anyone hide himself in secret places, So I shall not see him?” says the Lord; “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord.

Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
