You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

Let not the foot of pride come against me, And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

Your righteousness is like the great mountains; Your judgments are a great deep; O Lord, You preserve man and beast.

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

Blessed is that man who makes the Lord his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth.

O God, the proud have risen against me, And a mob of violent men have sought my life, And have not set You before them.

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods; for in the very thing in which they behaved proudly, He was above them.”

Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy.

But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.”
